Islamic Jihad proclaims shooting attack ‘heroic sacrifice’

Tarek Salmi, spokesman for the Islamic Jihad organization, welcomed the shooting attack carried out at the gas station near the settlement of Eli in Samaria, in which four Israelis were murdered.
In a statement to the media, Salmi said that “the act of heroic sacrifice was carried out as part of the exercise of the legitimate right to self-defense, and is considered a natural response to the crimes of the occupation that are escalating against the Palestinian people.”
Salmi emphasized that “this action shows the vitality of the resistance organizations and their ability to act in all circumstances and hit the occupation continuously.”
According to him, “the Israeli threats do not frighten the Palestinian people, and the resistance organizations are ready to deal with any escalation” and “the Zionist murderers and terrorists”.

Hazem Kassem, a spokesman for the Hamas movement, told the Al-Aqsa television channel that the “heroic” shooting attack disrupted the Israeli assessment of the situation and proved the ability of the resistance organizations to cause casualties among the Israeli side.

“The occupation will pay a price for its crimes against the Palestinian people and the attack in Eli is a clear message to the enemy,” said Kassem, who added: “The resistance organizations will continue to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the fascist occupation government will not be able to implement its Judaization plans “and “the continuation of the occupation’s religious war against the Al-Aqsa Mosque will exacerbate Palestinian anger.”
