Israeli filmmaker ejected from Roger Waters concert in London after waving Israeli flag

Israeli filmmaker Guilhad Emilio Schenker was detained, interrogated by security and ejected from a Roger Waters concert in London after waving an Israeli flag, the Mako website reported on Friday.
Video posted to social media shows Schenker waving the flag in front of Waters as the former Pink Lloyd frontman stands on stage in a uniform resembling that of a Nazi officer.
A short time later, security guards arrive, take the Israeli flag from Schenker and lead him away from the stage.
Eyewitnesses told Mako that there were spectators who had Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flags in their possession but nothing happened to them, whereas seven security guards approached Schenker and forcibly took him to an interrogation room, searched him and confiscated the Israeli flag.
Schenker, for his part, said he fails to understand the problem with his actions and the opposition to freedom of speech, but the security guards nevertheless ejected him from the concert.
Waters recently caused an uproar when he wore the Nazi-style uniform at a Berlin concert. In that same concert, Waters also compared Anne Frank to Shireen Abu Aqleh, an Al Jazeera journalist who was shot dead while covering clashes between IDF soldiers and Palestinian Arab terrorists in Jenin last year.
Police in Berlin have opened a criminal investigation into suspected incitement by Waters following the May 17 concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The 79-year-old later claimed that aspects of his performance that have been questioned were “quite clearly” a statement against fascism, injustice and bigotry.

Waters is notorious for his anti-Israel statements and actions. He has in the past compared Israel to Nazi Germany and released a giant balloon pig bearing the Star of David during a concert in Belgium. Concert-goers said the Jewish star was among several symbols representing various corporations and fascist movements.
He has also called Zionism an “ugly stain” that must be removed. In defense of his actions, Waters argues that BDS “isn”t about music – it”s about human rights.”
