We begin our reading of the book of Numbers just as we ready ourselves for Jerusalem Day – celebrating 56 years since the liberation and reunification of the holy city of Jerusalem – Israel’s eternal capital.
The great granddaddies of the flags that we wave on Jerusalem Day were first raised high by our ancestors at Sinai – each tribe their own flag – to show their love for HaShem.
