Ron Desantis: Biden administration is bending Israel’s arm behind its back

Florida Governor and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis spoke with the Israel Hayom newspaper and criticized President Joe Biden for not inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.
DeSantis told Ariel Kahana that it was disgraceful not to invite the Prime Minister, adding that the relationship needs to be ironclad. He said that the US has no better ally in the middle east than Israel and that the two nations have a cultural and religious connection.
He warned that it was a mistake for the Biden administration to turn its back on Israel. He explained that the administration preferred to go easy on Iran over standing beside its ally.
He insisted that when he would be president, the relationship with Israel would be very strong and that Americans could be proud of that.
When asked what he would do against Iran and its nuclear program, the governor answered that the deal between former President Obama and Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei was a total disaster and that Biden is attempting to bring it back. He explained that when concessions are made to Iran, they use the money to make weapons. According to DeSantis, the US must pressure Iran to ensure they understand that going in the direction that they are going in would bring dire economic, diplomatic, and military consequences for them.
He adds that the only thing the Iranians understand is strength, and it does not work to be nice to them. He pledged that his administration would support Israel and Israel would have a much stronger stand against Iran.
