Long lines and chaos are being reported at major UK airports, following a nationwide border system failure.
CNN reported that the failure means travelers must have their passports checked manually rather than by machine.
Many travelers posted pictures and video from the airports and expressed anger and frustration.
A UK Home Office spokesperson told CNN, “We are aware of a nationwide border system issue affecting arrivals into the UK. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and are liaising with port operators and airlines to minimize disruption for travellers.”
