The harm they did is unforgivable: The Israeli Left demoralized us

The harm they did is unforgivable

It”s like opening the door accidentally to the wrong hotel room.

You can”t un-hear what you heard and you can”t un-see what you saw.

In full view of the entire world, here we watched as they humiliated the Right, themselves, their prime minister, and most of all, their own home and country.

They cut down every Jew walking the planet, and for the first time in 75 years, we don”t walk tall.

Our love for Israel is undiminished, and we will get our mojo back, next week maybe, next month for sure, Israel Independence Day. April 25.

But for the moment, we”ve been brought low and can”t continue with the usual gusto.

They did this to us at a time when antisemitism is on the rise. What do we say to those people when they laugh and chortle, “Look, Israelis themselves hate Israel.”

Yes, it does seem that way from the howls streaming across the globe.

We used to have the answers, and still do, but today, not as quick.

The Israeli Left did this to us.

They demoralized us.

Those fist-pumping marches&hellipthose threats and bonfires to burn baby burn&hellipthe language of insurrection&hellipwho taught them this&hellipBLM? Antifa?

A word from the Godfather to his failing brother: “Don”t ever take sides against the family.”

This, they did, and for that, we all pay.

Live or on reruns, on every network in America, and elsewhere throughout the continents, we watch a sea of Israeli flags, always a glorious sight.

But what”s this?

The marchers come not to glorify, but to despise.

Their rhetoric shoots poisoned arrows directly at Benjamin Netanyahu and his government&hellipand thus the nation.

This is how we settle political differences?

Or is it how they settle scores when they lose an election?

At least tell the truth. Tell it like it is. Insurrection is the name of the game. The Deep State is furious that Netanyahu won. They want him out, whatever it takes, in favor of, once again, Bennett, Lapid, Gantz and members of the Muslim Brotherhood&hellipthose times when Israeli leaders found it suitable to give away a wealth of energy deposits to Hezbollah/Lebanon.

So they trample Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, shut down highways, airports and medical services. They bolt embassies to take their cause worldwide.

They go howling for the cameras to traffic their lies.

Such as accusing Netanyahu of aiming for a “power grab.” That is a falsehood, as it is to say that his efforts to realign the high court is not for the greater good, but personal.

Netanyahu did not see anything like this coming&hellipall that over fine-tuning the Supremes. Nobody did.

A demonstration here and there, okay, but nothing like the feverish winner-take-all which occurred.

When will we ever learn that for the Left, here in America and in Israel, it”s all or nothing. They play for keeps.

For Netanyahu, the writing on the wall was when the tempest reached the IDF. He had to pull back.

At the same time, along came the rhinoceros effect. In this stage drama, Rhinoceros, by Eugene Ionesco, a sleepy town is awakened by the sudden appearance of a rhino.

At first, the people are terrified and repulsed at the sight of this monster. Gradually, one citizen at a time, they too become rhinos.

They turn so for the allure, the irresistible beauty of mindless brute force.

Something like this happened for Netanyahu, when he saw good people, even some members of his party, turn away from him and towards the irresistible Left.

Just when he needed them most.

Instead, they ran with the rhinos for the beauty of their mindless brute force.

Perhaps this whole thing&hellipjudicial reform&hellip could have succeeded if there”d been less dawdling. From the inception onward, it seems to have dragged on too long.

Obama said, “I”ve got a pen and I”ve got a phone” &hellipto get things done his way. Hello Bibi.

The Left had all that time to mobilize&hellipand they will do it again and again, now that they find themselves bloated with flat-out power.

As in America, regardless who”s king, the Deep State is Boss.

When will the true patriots arise?

That day is coming.

God bless America. Am Yisroel Chai.
