A relative of one of the terrorists who carried out the shooting attack near Eli on Tuesday, murdering four Israelis before being eliminated by Israeli troops, said that the attack is a “natural” action by the Palestinian Arab youth against the background of the economic and security situation.
In an interview with the pro-Hamas Al-Quds TV, the relative said that the family members of the terrorist were surprised to hear the reports in the media about him being one of the terrorists who carried out the attack in Eli.
He also stated that the reason for the attack lies in the mental pressures that young Palestinians Arabs are under, the activity of the “occupation” and the killings they see every day.
“This is a natural reaction of the young people,” he claimed, adding that the youths experience the arrogance of the “enemy” and witness its daily attacks and the massacres and killings it commits before their eyes.
Also, the relative added, the young Palestinian Arabs have no horizons for the future, no jobs and they are under pressure due to the IDF checkpoints in Judea and Samaria and the “persecution” by the Israeli security forces.

He called the terrorist an affable person who used to pray in the mosque and had no problems with relationships with other people, and offered a prayer to Allah for him, noting the high degree to which a “shaheed” is elevated upon his death.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas, announced that the two terrorists who carried out the attack in Eli were members of the organization.
