United States President Joe Biden made a puzzling statement tonight (Friday) at the end of a speech he gave in Connecticut, in which he called for increased restrictions on the purchase and carrying of firearms.
Before leaving the stage, the president was recorded saying into a microphone: “God save the Queen, man” which was part of the British national anthem until Queen Elizabeth’s death last September.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton said at a press briefing: “He was responding to someone in the audience who referred to the Queen” although this person has not yet been documented or located.
About two and a half weeks ago, the president fell at a US Air Force graduation ceremony in Colorado, where he was recorded falling and lying on the ground for a few seconds. After that, he recovered and continued to walk without help or treatment.
