Israel denies reports of conditional ceasefire

The Saudi Al-Hadath news reported Thursday that Israel notified Egyptian mediators that it would agree to an immediate ceasefire. Earlier, Al-Arabiya reported that Israel agreed to Islamic Jihad’s conditions not to carry out targeted assassinations unless there is an immediate threat.
The report also states that Jihad senior official Al-Hindi arrived in Cairo to discuss the conditions for the ceasefire.
According to the reports, in addition to ending targeted assassinations, the terror organization is demanding that Israel return the body of Khader Adnan, one of the organization’s senior leaders in Judea and Samaria, who died last week in Nitzan Prison after a prolonged hunger strike.
A senior figure in the government denied the claims that Israel agreed to the conditions, stating: “Israel did not commit to ending the targeted assassinations and did not agree to return the body of the terrorist Khader Adnan.”
According to the figure, there are still efforts and discussions with the aim of reaching a ceasefire, but not one that would end in gains for the terror groups.
According to Arab media, Egypt, Qatar, and the United States are involved in the ceasefire talks.
