Jango, a Yamam (Israel’s national counterterrorism unit) dog, was killed Thursday morning during the operation in Shechem (Nablus), during which the terrorists who murdered Lucy, Maia, and Rina Dee were eliminated.
Seven-year-old Jango was killed during a heavy fire-fight as he protected the soldiers’ lives when terrorists opened fire on them.
Jango participated in hundreds of Yamam operations, during which he fought alongside the unit’s soldiers to foil terror plots and arrest suspects.

Earlier in the day, the two terrorists responsible for the Dee family murder were eliminated in a joint operation by Shin Bet, IDF, and Yamam in Shechem.
The terrorists were identified as Hassan Qatna’ani and Ma’ad Masri, Hamas operatives, who were hiding in an apartment in Shechem (Nablus). The Palestinian Authority Arab who aided them in the murder, Ibrahim Hura, has also been eliminated. The terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire, and a Kalashnikov rifle and two M16s were found in the apartment.
