Netanyahu prevented Gallant from traveling to US twice

Prime Minister Netanyahu prevented Defense Minister Yoav Gallant from traveling for professional meetings in the United States twice, according to a report by Channel 12.
According to the report, Netanyahu nixed the trips amid tensions between him and Gallant and because he wanted to meet with US administration officials before his cabinet did.
The Defense Minister was invited twice to meet with officials in the US administration and defense establishment and had to turn down both invitations after Netanyahu’s office asked him not to go.

There has been heightened pressure lately from Netanyahu’s circle to advance a meeting between him and President Biden, which has not yet taken place despite Netanyahu being in office for over four months.
The White House spokesperson even stated that there is nothing preventing Netanyahu from being invited in the future, but at the moment, there is no plan to do so.
Netanyahu’s office responded to the report stating, “The report is not true. The Prime Minister and the Defense Minister are fully attuned with each other.”
