MK Yulia Malinovsky (Yisrael Beytenu) claimed on Monday that there is no real desire on the part of any of the parties involved in the negotiations taking place at the President’s Residence to reach a compromise on the judicial reform.
Speaking to Israel National News at the Knesset, Malinovsky said, “There will be no agreements at the President’s Residence and anyone who thinks these talks are serious is wrong. We as humans always hope for the best. This is not the case here. Both sides there are playing games, I think. In my opinion, it is headed towards an explosion.”
The MK also commented on her party’s strict positions regarding the Draft Law, and said she is unfazed by the decision to postpone the issue for six months.
“This thing will not go away. We must resolve the issue of the IDF draft. In our opinion, we should not separate blood from blood. All Israeli citizens should either enlist in the IDF or do civil service. Those who don’t want to – should bear sanctions. The formula should be very simple – without duties there are no rights,” said Malinovsky.
“The demography speaks for itself. If we want to be a progressive country, everyone must bear the burden. There is no contradiction between studying Torah and working or serving in the IDF,” she concluded.
