A 25-year-old man was killed on Monday evening when his car exploded as he drove in Kiryat Bialik, north of Haifa.
Magen David Adom medics and paramedics who were called to the scene provided the man with medical treatment and evacuated him in critical condition to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where hospital staff pronounced him dead.
Police are investigating the incident, which is believed to be criminal in nature.
A senior MDA medic, Yaakov Ventura, said, “We quickly arrived at the scene and saw, outside the car that caught fire, a man about 25 years of age who was conscious. He suffered severe bruises to his lower body. We gave him life-saving medical treatment that included anesthesia and ventilation and evacuated him urgently to the hospital while continuing to provide him with treatment.”
