Driver involved in fatal Independence Day accident spent the night at a rave

25-year-old Yana Blum, the driver who was involved in the fatal accident on Independence Day in which one-year-old Ma”ayan David Domnovitch was killed, spent an entire night at a rave in the south, Kan 11 News reported on Sunday.
After 12 hours in which she consumed alcohol and drugs at the party, she got into her car on her way home to Rishon LeZion and, a short time later, veered off the road and collided violently with the car of the Domnovitch family.
Alcohol concentration three times higher than the legal limit and traces of marijuana were found in her blood.
Blum’s detention was extended overnight Saturday in her absence, as she remains hospitalized following the accident.
She is suspected of reckless homicide and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She has been caught driving under the influence of alcohol in the past and her license was revoked.
Other members of Ma”ayan Domnovitch”s family were also injured in the accident and were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Be”er Sheva.
The father of the family and their seven-year-old son are in critical condition. The mother and the other two children, aged six and four, are listed in moderate condition.
