Three demonstrators were injured, two of them seriously, during a Druze protest in the Golan Heights.
The injured were brought to Ziv Medical Center in Tsfat. One of them, a man in his 20s, is suffering from a gunshot wound.
According to police reports, dozens of Druze arrived at the police station and tried to take it over. They threw stones, set fire to tires, punctured tires of police vehicles, and even fired live shots. Some of the police were injured by rocks thrown at them.
In response, the police repelled the group and kept them away from the area.
“It is important to note that any act of violence against police officers is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The Israel Police is committed to ensuring the safety of all citizens and will take all necessary measures to maintain order and security,” the police were quoted as saying.
