Minister Levin: I’m more determined than ever to pass the judicial reform

Justice Minister Yariv Levin on Friday made clear that he is determined to move ahead with the judicial reform.
“At the end of a difficult week, I am more determined than ever to continue and do everything to pass the necessary reform to fix the judicial system,” Levin said in a statement before the start of Shabbat.
Minister Levin thanked the right-wing camp for their support, saying, “Thank you all for the important support in the moves I am leading for a just justice system. Shabbat Shalom!”
MK Hili Tropper (National Unity Party) responded, “It would be better if the Minister of Justice focuses on a determination to reunite our people, as well as strengthen the security and economy of the country. Israel now needs broad agreements and a little peace, and not a unilateral legal revolution.”

The statement followed this week”s announcement by opposition leader Yair Lapid and National Unity Party chairman Benny Gantz, who said that negotiations on the judicial reform being held at the President’s Residence would be frozen until the judicial selection committee is fully established..
In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Lapid and Gantz of looking for any possible way to torpedo the negotiations on a compromise.
