Between February and April 2023, 6,890 new apartments were sold, a decrease of 19.0% compared to the period of November 2022-January 2023 (8,510).
In April 2023, 1,460 new apartments were sold, a decrease of 49.9% compared to March 2023.
About a quarter (25.5%) of the new apartments sold were government subsidized, an increase of 8.9% compared to the previous three months. About 31.7% of the new apartments sold were in the southern district and about 20.1% – in the central district.
Netivot, a city near the Gaza border, is at the top of the list of settlements with the highest number of apartments (792) sold between February-April 2023, and the highest increase compared to the previous three months.
After it is Jerusalem, with 624 apartments sold, a decrease of 20.2% compared to the previous three months, November 2022-January 2023, followed by Ashkelon (381). Tel Aviv is in seventh place in the table with 220 new apartments purchased there in these three months.
At the end of April 2023, the number of new apartments remaining for sale was about 55,420 apartments, and the number of months of supply was 21.7 months. More than half of the remaining apartments for sale were concentrated in the Tel Aviv (29.6%) and Central (23.9%) districts.
