A 28-year-old man was injured on Sunday when a motorcycle exploded on Rashi Street in Ramat Gan. He was taken to Ichilov Hospital in serious condition.
Six bystanders, ranging in age between 45 and 80, were lightly injured by shrapnel and were taken for treatment at the Beilinson, Ichilov, and Tel Hashomer-Sheba hospitals.
MDA EMTs Amit Avraham and Zvika Lerer recalled: “We saw the motorcycle on the side of the sidewalk with the rider, a man approximately 28 years old, next to it, conscious and suffering bad injuries to his limbs.
We administered live-saving care, which included stopping the bleeding and applying a tourniquet, and we took by MDA ICU ambulance to Ichilov Hospital in serious condition. Additional MDA personnel searched the street and located six additional injured individuals, ages 45 to 80, who were hit by shrapnel and were lightly injured and taken to the hospital. Miraculously, the incident did not end in casualties.
