Complaint filed against Hadash MK who called for Jewish youth to be murdered

MK Hanoch Milwidsky (Likud) submitted a complaint this morning (Sunday) with the Knesset Ethics Committee against Hadash MK Ofer Cassif after Cassif called for a Jewish youth to be murdered in a terrorist attack.
“I don’t usually submit such complaints, but [all red lines] were crossed here,” said Milwidsky.
Separately, MK Avichai Buaron addressed a letter last weekend to the heads of the law enforcement system and the ethics committee in response to Kassif’s shocking statement.
Buaron said: “Ofer Cassif’s wish for a young Israeli, to be murdered like other Jews who were murdered in the Old City, is a horrifying statement that should shock every Jew in Israel. Even freedom of speech has a limit. Especially for an MKt whose words are heard and echoed. Jewish blood is not cheap.”
“His place is not in the Knesset of Israel, the attorney general, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ethics Committee should throw the book at Cassif. I will work to ensure that happens.”

On Thursday, during a protest in the Old City of Jerusalem, a Jewish youth confronted MK Cassif and yelled: “Jews were murdered here, my friend was murdered here.” Cassif replied: “may the same thing happen to you.”
MK Cassif does not deny that he said those words, but claimed that the youth was not an innocent person but a violent inciter.
Cassif is the sole Jewish MK from the Arab-communist Hadash party.
