An IDF officers course cadet was severely injured on Sunday while preparing for a routine exercise.
The cadet was brought to receive medical care at a hospital, and his family was notified.
According to the IDF, the incident is being investigated.
According to Doron Kadosh, the cadet, who belongs to Combat Engineering Corps, sustained head and chest injuries when a heavy door of an armed personnel carrier fell on him.
In February, an IDF soldier was seriously wounded during a training exercise at a military base in southern Israel. The soldier was struck by a ricochet to the head and taken to the hospital for treatment.
Half a year earlier, Staff Sergeant Natan Fitoussi was killed as a result of a friendly fire near Tul Karem. Fitoussi had gone to pray and updated the soldier who was with him, but when he returned, he was identified as suspicious and was shot by a teammate.
The investigation found that Fitoussi was hit by two bullets, one in his leg and the other in his chest. He was taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
