The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Yaakov Margi (Shas) visited the Perach communal village for people with disabilities recently.
The minister was accompanied by the staff of his ministry including: Director General of the Ministry – Yinon Aharoni, Head of the Disability Directorate – Mrs. Rakfat Ben Gai, Mrs. Lydia Reuveni, the accountant of the ministry, Yonatan Reznik – Senior Deputy Accountant General and other professional teams from the ministry.
This is the minister’s first visit as part of out-of-home housing and the minister was excited to see the impressive work of Perach network.
Perach’s communal village in Rosh Ha’ayin is a out-of-home housing facility for people with disabilities.
About 200 tenants aged 18 and over live in the village at various levels of functioning.
The residents of the village are under care and supervision throughout the hours of the day, and live in apartments.
As part of the tour, a ceremony was held for a new residential apartment that will be used by the residents of the village. The CEO of the village, Moshe Savil, took the visitors on a tour of the village, where they were impressed by the various activities and facilities there.
The minister thanked the CEO of the Perah chain Rabbi Moshe Stein and the VP Michael Dor for taking over the management of the village during such a complex crisis period.
