Minister for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev and the Galilee Yitzhak Wasserlauf (Otzma Yehudit) on Wednesday evening arrived at his home in the south of Tel Aviv and went for a walk in the area.
A few minutes later, he suspected that a man was trying to break into a home, after he saw that he was trying to open the doors of several homes.
Minister Wasserlauf pursued the suspect and his suspicions were confirmed when a physical confrontation erupted, during which the suspect spat on the minister and behaved in a violent manner. The suspect was held down until the police arrived and he was arrested.
“I caught the suspect red-handed during a burglary and, after a chase, I was able to stop him. Thank God, this time it ended in an arrest, it could have ended completely differently,” said Wasserlauf.
