Harry and Meghan in “near catastrophic” two-hour long paparazzi car chase

Prince Harry, Meghan and her mother were involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase with the paparazzi, in an incident eerily similar to the car chase that resulted in the death of Harry”s mother, Princess Diana in 1997.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry described the incident as a “near catastrophic car chase” with the paparazzi, BBC News reported.
The incident took place after Harry and Meghan left the Ms Foundation Women of Vision Awards ceremony in New York City on Tuesday.
The spokesperson described how the “relentless pursuit” lasted for more than two hours and led to close calls with other drivers, pedestrians and police officers.

“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety,” the spokesperson said.
“Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all involved.”
Harry and Meghan were joined by Meghan mother, Doria Ragland, at the event.
Sources told TMZ that the paparazzi followed them in a half-dozen vehicles with dark tinted windows, ignoring traffic violations such as driving on the sidewalk, tearing through red lights and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
