Wave of arrests targets Islamic Jihad operatives

The IDF and ISA report that as part of the campaign against the Islamic Jihad terror organization, over the last few days, 25 terrorist operatives associated with the group were arrested in Judea and Samaria in joint operations by the IDF, the Israel Border Police and the ISA.
Several of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization members who were arrested were recruits of Tarek Az Aldin, the Islamic Jihad terror organization senior official who was neutralized at the beginning of Operation “Arrow and Shield.” Aldin was one of the perpetrators of terrorism in Judea and Samaria and directed dozens of terrorist attacks from the Gaza Strip.
The prominent members who were apprehended include Ahmed Abu Nasir, aged 60, a resident of Kafr Ni’ma. A senior member of the Islamic Jihad terror organization who was in contact with operatives who instructed rocket launches from the Gaza Strip.
Hadi Nazel, aged 21. A resident of the city Qabatiya, who was in contact with the Islamic Jihad terror organization senior official Tarek Az Aldin.

Ala”a Abu Ada”a, aged 30, and Sagi A”atiya, aged 35, residents of Kafr Ni’ma, who were tied to ongoing terror activity within Gaza.
Ahmed Bariyush, aged 38, resident of the city Dura.
The detainees were transferred to the ISA for investigation.
The IDF and the ISA will continue to work to thwart any attempt to promote terrorist attacks against the civilians of the State of Israel.
