Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday) visited the 66th Battalion in the Air Defense Corps, which operates the David’s Sling missile defense system which shot down a rocket fired at Tel Aviv yesterday.
During his visit, Netanyahu spoke about the assassination of Islamic Jihad leaders Ahmed Abu-Deka and Ali Ghali: “This morning we targeted the commander of the Islamic Jihad”s missile array in Gaza. Now, just an hour ago, we targeted his deputy as well. I have already said, anyone who comes to harm us &mdash their blood will be on their heads, including anyone who replaces him.”
“Behind me is the headquarters and commanders of the ‘David’s Sling’ array with the commanders. This system successfully intercepted a rocket over the Dan region. We will continue to act in defense and attack until the end of the campaign,” he said.
The prime minister thanked the men and women “who are doing sacred work here to protect the skies of the country and protect the citizens of the country. I ask you, the citizens of the country, to continue to help us to protect you. Follow the instructions of the Home Front Command. Together – we will win.”
