Ra’am condemns killing of Islamic Jihad leaders

The Ra’am party and the Islamic Movement this afternoon (Tuesday) condemned the killing of three leaders of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in Gaza overnight.
“We condemn the Netanyahu-Ben-Gvir government’s attack on family homes in Gaza and the killing of women and babies in order to solve the coalition crises,” Ra’am said in its statement.
“Since Ben Gabir entered this government, crime has returned with a vengeance to raise its head in Arab society, and the number of victims of crime has tripled since last year, and cases of racist attacks by Jewish extremists on Arab citizens have increased. The latest was the killing of Diyar Omri by a gunman from the settlement of Gan Ner (a Jewish community in northern Israel that is not over the 1989 ‘green line’),” the joint statement with the Islamic Movement continued.

Meanwhile, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was asked during an Israel Hayom conference today about the toughening of the conditions of security prisoners and said: “I recommend that people not underestimate the importance of the pita issue. It hurts in Gaza. It hurts them that I took away their bakeries. You killed a child and now you get a laffa? That’s crazy. I see the realization that this needs to change in the prison service.”
Addressing the killing of the Islamic Jihad leaders in Gaza, Ben-Gvir said: “We have some hand in this operation, but I’m not looking for credit. The operation tonight happened after I talked about targeted countermeasures. I give a very good grade to [Defense Minister] Yoav Gallant for this operation.”
