During El Al flight LY81 from Israel to Thailand, a 59-year-old man suddenly collapsed in the restroom and died.
ZAKA volunteer Yosef Dorfman, who was on the flight and was flying to Thailand in his official capacity, said: “It was a traumatic experience for the passengers.”
“During the flight to Thailand, a man had a heart attack and, together with another paramedic and a doctor, we attempted resuscitation but it was unsuccessful. Afterwards, I assumed the role of an ZAKA paramedic and we respectfully laid him across two seats until landing.”
