MK Michal Woldiger to INN: The people want us to strengthen democracy

Deputy Finance Minister Michal Woldiger (Religious Zionist Party) spoke to Israel National News on Thursday at the “million-man demonstration” in support of the judicial reform, which was held in Jerusalem.
“What happened now outside the Knesset building is not a rally against someone or something. There is no demonstration here in my view, but rather a gathering of hundreds of thousands who wish to strengthen democracy, to say that the necessary steps will only lead to the strengthening of Israeli democracy,” she said.
“The legal system should be more diverse, heterogeneous, attentive to the voices of the people and open to audiences that were excluded until today. I am proud of the citizens who came to Jerusalem to celebrate Zionism and democracy,” Woldiger added.
