An attempted terrorist attack was committed at the Giti Avisar intersection near the city of Ariel in Samaria this evening (Thursday).
The terrorist initially attempted to commit a ramming attack and, failing that, left his vehicle and drew a knife in an attempt to stab a police officer.
Security forces at the scene shot and neutralized the terrorist before he could injure anyone.
Rescuers Without Borders reported that a woman was treated for anxiety at the scene.
The IDF said in a statement: “A report was received of a run-over attempt near the Giti Avisar intersection in the Ephraim Brigade. The terrorist was holding a knife and the IDF neutralized him. There were no casualties.”
