The annual opening ceremony of Israel’s Memorial Day began at the Western Wall at 8 pm Monday evening in the presence of President Isaac Herzog and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.
The ceremony was preceded by a minute-long siren which sounded across the country.
