State seeks to dismiss petition for evacuation of Khan al-Ahmar

The State is expected to submit its response to the Supreme Court today on the petition demanding the evacuation of the illegal Bedouin outpost of Khan al-Ahmar.
Galai Tzahal (IDF Radio) reported that the State will ask the court to dismiss the petition on the grounds that negotiations are currently underway for a final outline on the evacuation of the outpost.
However, according to multiple sources, the two sides are far from any agreements.
The State will also claim that the evacuation of the outpost at this sensitive time may lead to political, international and security consequences, in a period of regional tensions – and therefore they must be resolved through dialogue and not via evacuation by force.
