The Israel Dog Unit (IDU), a nonprofit specializing in search and rescue, took part in a search exercise with the IAF over the course of the week.
The exercise lasted four days and was held in the rough terrain of southern Israel.
IDU director Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov commented: “We are happy to improve our cooperation with other forces and organizations, which help the vital national effort of responding to security incidents and locating missing persons – the two main areas that the IDU deals with. We consider it a privilege to work with determined soldiers who are highly motivated to do what is necessary to protect the citizens of Israel. We salute the Air Force.”
