An additional suspect in the murder of Izhar Abu Rabia, 26, was arrested Monday, Maariv reported.
Abu Rabia, a resident of the Arab town of Kseifa, was brought on Saturday night to the Magen David Adom (MDA) station in Arad, unconscious and bearing signs of violence on her body, apparently caused by a knife.
MDA paramedics were forced to declare her death at the scene.
On Sunday, her 28-year-old brother turned himself in to the police, took responsibility for the event, and even said that he “slaughtered” her.
On Monday, Abu Rabia’s older brother was arrested, after her 28-year-old brother turned himself in on Sunday. Following a court hearing in the Be’er Sheva Magistrates Court, it was decided to extend the older brother’s arrest until Thursday.
The murdered woman is survived by her husband and four children.
There had been no previous complaints of violence from the family.
