An Arab Jerusalem municipal contracted worker was filmed vandalizing a Jerusalem city flag that was hung in honor of Israeli Independence Day.
In a video published on social media, the worker can be seen hitting the flag, which resembles the Israeli flag, depicting a lion instead of a star, on the ground, stepping on it, and throwing it into the sewer.
The Jerusalem Municipality commented: “The Jerusalem Municipality located the contracted workers who defiled the flag, and they were immediately terminated (both the one filmed and the one who filmed). The municipality intends to file an official police report today. The contractor will be summoned for a hearing.”
