Trump slams Fox News, compares DeSantis to Jeb Bush

Former President Donald Trump on Monday lashed out at Fox News for its coverage of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, accusing the network of favoring the potential Republican primary challenger so heavily that, according to Trump, it no longer qualifies as “real news.”
“Fox News is promoting Ron DeSanctus so hard and so much that there”s not much time left for Real News,” Trump said in a Truth Social post, referring to DeSantis using a disparaging nickname.
Trump went on to compare DeSantis to Jeb Bush, the early front runner in the 2016 GOP primaries who Trump easily bested. After poor showings in Iowa and New Hampshire, Bush put all his effort into the South Carolina primary but only placed fourth at 8 percent, dropping out of the race, while Trump won, receiving 32.51 percent.
“Reminds me of 2016 when they were pushing “JEB!”” Trump said.
“The new Fox Poll, which have always been purposely terrible for me, has “TRUMP Crushing DeSanctimonious,” but they barely show it,” he added.
“Instead they go with losers like Karl Rove, Paul Ryan and now, even “Yesper,” who have been wrong about everything! Isn”t there a big, beautiful Network which wants to do well, and make a fortune besides? FAKE NEWS!”

Trump went on the rant in the wake of a recent poll showing that in a primary matchup between DeSantis and Trump, DeSantis would win by 24 points in a hypothetical field of nine candidates.
The WPA Intelligence survey revealed that 40 percent of GOP primary voters across the country chose DeSantis to be the party”s nominee for the White House in 2024, 31 percent said Trump was their top pick. No other Republican candidate polled in double digits.
